THE UNIQUE ALCHEMY OF COGNAC & ORANGE
Grand Marnier is a liqueur made with centuries-old traditions. The nobility of Cognac and the exoticism of bitter orange essence that comprise it offer it unrivaled aroma and flavor that are both powerful and complex.
The intriguing essence of green orange offers a unique, bright, burnt flavor, which combined with caramelised sugar, vanilla and candied orange peel is simultaneously sweet and bitter.
Grand Marnier is a sophisticated blend of cognac and exotic bitter orange. It is a truly perfect union that is unique, and places Grand Marnier in a category all of its own as a timeless and irreplaceable liquid. Carefully blended in Gaillon-Aubevoye, Grand Marnier is poured on-site in its iconic bottle in the shape of a cognac still, and topped with its famous red ribbon and wax seal as a symbol of authenticity and exceptional quality.
Grand Marnier is the result of a time-honored tradition of master blenders, who have skillfully and carefully passed their “savoir-faire” down to one another since 1880.
“The Cognac region is located 450 kilometers southwest of Paris. The area hosts 4,700 wine growers over 75,000 hectares of vineyards. It is divided into growing areas, called “”Crus.”” Our property is nestled atop a hill at the border of the Petite and Grande Champagne Crus, in the very heart of the region.
Originally built as a castle in the 13th century, the Château de Bourg-Charente is where we age and blend our cognacs, and distill our orange essence. This château is full of history and magic, and holds the secrets of Grand Marnier.”
